Our Process: 1-2-3-Go!
We take Umbraco CMS development seriously. Through many years of practice we have fine tuned our process to ensure consistently high quality, flexibility, and value for money.
We use a multi-step approach with quality control integrated in each step. It's as easy as 1-2-3:
1: Graphic Design
We start by asking for a list of websites that you like and which elements you like or dislike. If you have existing company colors and a logo then these will be incorporated as well.
Our talented graphic designers create three sharp designs for you to review, and you can either choose one, mix and match, or we can start over and go in a different direction. We will not stop until you are 100% satisfied with your new website design.
During this stage we ensure the design uses best practices for websites, is user friendly, and is search engine friendly. The result is a PSD (Photoshop) file.
2: Markup
The PSD graphic design is converted to markup, which means pure XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript code. This process is also called slicing the design, or cutting the design. At this point Umbraco CMS is still not involved, and the markup can be viewed in any browser just by opening the files on your computer.
The XHTML and CSS markup is validated according to the W3C web standards to make sure they are compliant, and they are tested in many different browsers on Windows and Mac to ensure they look great on any computer, including mobile devices (if you are specifically targeting mobile devices, then please also see our iPhone, iPad, and Android smartphones services).
3: Umbraco CMS Development
The markup is now converted to Umbraco CMS templates so that they show dynamic content loaded from Umbraco CMS where you can easily edit it yourself.
We set up the Umbraco CMS backend so that it is tailored to your needs. Based on your feedback we fine tune the setup to minimize the time you have to spend and maximize the benefit you get from it.
Again the pages are validated and checked for browser compatibility before delivering the finished website to your own web hotel.
